Contactless card
The new Regular Passenger Public Transport Card is a contactless card which replaces the magnetic strip bonds and will support the transport documents issued by our company Intercitybus Lanzarote.
Features of the contactless card
- It's a cash card
- It is rechargeable
Types of bus card for passengers
a) 10% discount card (General contactless card): the user can directly buy anywhere enabled: buses or bus station in Arrecife.
b) 20% discount card (Nominated contactless card): it will be a personalized card.
c) 30% discount card (Special contactless card): it will be a personalized card and save 30% subsidy on the ticket price applies (*).
(*) It should be a beneficiary of any of the economic benefits of public social nature are as follows:
- Pensioners: Being a pensioner (collect Social Security pension). You will need to present pension certificate, issued by the Institute of Social Security INSS.
- Unemployed: Unemployed people must justify their unemployed status by DARDE (Document and renovation of high labor demand).
- Large families: document necessary to establish the membership of a large family, will be the official large family document or a document issued by the Canary Islands family.
- Youth: until 30 years.
d) 50% discount card (Special contactless card): it will be a personalized card and save 50% subsidy on the ticket price applies (*).
(*) It should be a beneficiary of any of the economic benefits of public social nature are as follows:
- Disability: Disability certificate with a degree of 33% or higher.
- Students: Certificate.of the study center of Lanzarote
Where to buy it?
In its first issue may be purchased at the offices of the operator, the Bus Station in Arrecife, and refills in places that are enabled.
GENERAL card without contact is exempt from process documentation can be purchased directly from the Bus Station to Arrecife or in the buses.
To purchase the contactless card NOMINATED or SPECIAL should be registered in a municipality on the island of Lanzarote and for the SPECIAL card you also need to provide a document attesting the beneficiary of any of the public economic benefits of social nature related.
To purchase the NOMINATED contactless card you should present to the Arrecife Bus Station the following documentation:
- Passport photo.
- Photocopy of proof of the applicant's personality (DNI), identification number (NIE) or passport.
- Photocopy of registration certificate or residence.
To purchase the SPECIAL card you should present to the Arrecife Bus Station the following documentation:
- Passport photo.
- Photocopy of proof of the applicant's personality (DNI), identification number (NIE) or passport.
- Photocopy of registration certificate or residence.
- Instance grant application to be submitted in the offices of the operator, the Bus Station in Arrecife.
- (*) A photocopy of the document evidencing the beneficiary of any of the public economic benefits of social nature.
Relevant discounts
- With the general contactless card can enjoy 10% discount.
- With the nominated contactless card will enjoy a 20% discount.
- With the special contactless card can enjoy 30% discount or 50% discount
Where to recharge?
It can be recharged at the offices of Intercity Bus Lanzarote or any of our buses.
How to use it?
When boarding the bus will bring contactless card reader which is near the driver. If you have sufficient funds to pay the driver can travel, the amount necessary to complete the price of your journey.
